TauTona Mine
TauTona lies on the West Wits Line, just south of Carletonville in the North West Province and about 70km southwest of Johannesburg.The mine is one of the three Western Deep Levels mines of the West Wits gold field west of Johannesburg. By 2008, the mine reached some 3.9 km (2.4 mi) underground. This made it the deepest mine in the world

| Rosebel Gold Mine
The Rosebel mine is located in Suriname, South America, some 80 kilometres from the capital city of Paramaribo. The concession covers 170 square kilometres and holds six major deposits and numerous gold prospects divided between two distinct limbs. Gold was first discovered in the Rosebel area in 1879 when small scale miners were reported to have been working on the concession. Since its discovery, the land has been both publicly and privately owned and operated.
